FUNCTION
Responsible for sports and training research, relevant sports
technology diagnosis, relevant sports mechanism assessment,
relevant athlete selection, relevant physical tests, relevant
sports information consultancy, and civil physical conditions
monitoring and health research.
There¡¯re a (comprehensive) office, a science & technology
office, a training monitoring & research room, a sports
technology research room, a reference room, a mass fitness
program research room, a nutrition research room, the Shishahai
branch and Chaoyang branch of the civil physical condition
monitoring center, and the Kangwen sports & fitness center.

Established in 1984, Beijing Adults Sports Technique School
(Beijing No.5 Sports Technique School) is an adult high school
for outstanding athletes, coaches and sports management talents
cultivation. To improve cultural education for athletes, Beijing
No.5 Sports School and Beijing No.222 Middle School was established
in 1989, which made the conglomeration a cultural education
base for those outstanding athletes in Beijing. Over the past
18 years since establishment, the school has brought up college
and technical school graduates totaling over 2000, and sports
talents in various fields totaling 6000. There¡¯re well-known
athletes and instructors such as Jin Zhiyang, Li Hui, Gao
Hongbo, Gao Feng, Yang Ling, Chao Na, Han Xue, Tang Xuezhong;
and a large number of cadres of fine ethics and talents for
the municipal sports system. The school currently has students
nearly 1000, and about 140 full-time or part-time teachers
and instructors, 80% of who have intermediate or senior qualification.
The school has training gymnasiums with a construction area
of 34000 square meters, and athlete dormitories and accessorial
facilities of nearly 7000 square meters. The new teaching
building enjoys big and bright classrooms, advanced laboratories,
multifunctional language rooms, computer houses and reading
rooms, which provide desirable conditions for educational
research and study. Adult College courses such as Athletics
management, athletics and sports health receive social applicants.
Since 2001, the school has collaborated with the Capital Sports
College and Beijing Sports University to set up Athletics
and Sports Training courses with college degree. The middle
vocational education part has set up majors in Leisure Sports
Service and Management, and Sports Training (bowling) for
the society.
There are training buildings of 34000 square meters in area
of structure in the campus, and athlete apartments and subsidiary
facilitieses about 7000 square meters. Classrooms in the new
teaching buildings are wide and bright, and there are laboratories
with advanced facilitie, multifunctional phonic classrooms,
computer classroom, and reading rooms, supporting favourabe
conditionsfor teaching and scientific research. Physical management,
athletic sports and sports health departments in adult junior
college will recruit students to the whole society. From 2001
last years, it has opened undergraduate courses for athletic
sports, sports and training with Capital P.E. Institute and
Beijing Sport University, middle vocational education opens
to society Service and Management of Casual Sports and Sports
Training departments.
Recruit students of specialized subject for college, vocational
education and the second specialized subject, perform multi-certificate
system which allows the obtaining of the certificates of middle
and senior level of hygienical massagists and social sports
instructors as well as the educational certificate. Culture
badly needed talents and practical, appliable ones to adapt
the athletics business with a rapid progress. Students can
go on with the undergraduate courses (associated with Beijing
Sport University) after the specialized one.
All the departments belong to athletics, and the score line
of the athletic sports, sports health and physical management
departments are 60% of that of science.
The responsibility of the information center is:
1. Under the leading of BJ Information Working Office and
Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, take charge of the programming,
management and the communication and coordination among management
departments and relative departments.
2. According to the standard of state, Ministries and Commissions
and district, take charge of the drawing up of the regulations
of information system, and organize the checking and carrying
out matters.
3. Be responsible for the construction, maintenance and management
of" Beijing Sports Information Net ", publish sports
policies and working information in Beijing on the internet
in time.
4. Be responsible for construction and management business
of office automation; construct and manage LAN of the bureau,
thus providing technical support to the office automation
of leaders of bureau and business branches.
5. Collect, tidy up, process information of relative athletics
work domestic and international to provide for leaders and
relative departments to read; arrange the service performance
of athletics information and office automation.
6. According to the relevant provisions of the nation and
city hall, take information system equipments and invitation
tender into responsibility, purchase and organize the work,
take charge of maintenance and management of the computer
classrooms and the equipment. Take responsibility of all the
equipment and maintenance of automatic equipment, including
computer servers.
7. Carry out the relevant provision of the security and the
confidentiality of information system, and the antivirus work
of the nation and relative departments.
8. Be responsible for the popularization of technical personnel
and staff member of the system of athletics bureau.
9. Be responsible for guiding the construction and comprehensive
technological service of office automation of all the departments
of the bureau.
10. Undertake the relevant work of General Administration
of Sport and infomationization department of the city; carry
out other businesses ordered by the leaders of the bureau.
