Beijing Muxiyuan Athletics Technique school
  Beijing Muxiyuan Athletics Technique School, which was known as Sikuaiyu Sports Training Base established in 1983, moved to 4# North Guangcai Road, Fengtai district, and was officially renamed as its currently used one. At the end of 1993, the WorkersĄŻ Sports Training Base was merged into the school; in 1998 the synchronized swimming team transferred to the school from Xiannongtan. With its expanding scale, the school has become the biggest training base under Beijing Sports Administration.

Supported by the municipal government and the Sports Administration, the school invested nearly 200 million yuan to improve its facilities and environment which now are among the best within the country. It boasts a number of fields and gyms totaling an area about 50 thousand square meters, including the Guangcai Gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, a comprehensive training facility (including a gym room, an indoor softball court), a handball gym, a volleyball gym, a track & field sports field (including a softball court) etc,. The indoor softball court which has an area of 800 square meters is the only indoor service for softball training in China. Covering an area of 12747 square meters, the newly built athletesĄŻ mansion is equipped with a canteen, a medical room, a library, an amusement hall, a multifunctional hall and other auxiliary facilities to provide the athletes with excellent accommodation, therapeutic and recreational conditions.
The school has 8 Olympic programs, namely, softball, handball, volleyball, menĄŻs judo, wrestling, swimming, diving and synchronized swimming, totally 12 teams and an over 700-member faculty. It has brought up many world champions such as Wang Rui, Li Na, Gong Ming, Zhang Yanhong, Chen Lin, Lang Ping, Yang Xiaojun, Chao Na, Liang Xiaoqiao, HanXue, etc, (in the sequence of the strokes of their family names). In the 27th Olympic Games in 2000, Li Na ranked first in womenĄŻs synchronized 10-meter platform, and second in womenĄŻs 10m platform, winning the first Olympic gold medal in diving for the school.

Beijing Muxiyuan Athletics Technique School has made significant contribution to the athletics of Beijing and the country as a whole.
