Beijing swimming team was set up in 1958, when team site was located in the Xiannongtan stadium, and its site transferred to worker stadium training base in 1984 and it moved into the devilwood-garden sports technical school in November of 1993.

Since the establishment of the Beijing swimming team, it has achieved superexcellent result in home-and-abroad important competition under the concern from all levels of leaders, as well as the unremitting endeavors and tenacious strive from several generation of coaches and athletes, has transported many top athletes successively for the national sports team and has made out a glary history in the ups and downs.
